We will hold a summer week of Forest Playgroup August 6th through 8th from 9 AM to 11 AM to discuss the upcoming Forest Playgroup starting this fall (2019) and answer any questions you may have. It is very important for families to be involved in the process of forming the first Forest School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Your voices matter!
Items to be addressed:
- Appropriate attire and gear for forest school
- Bathroom breaks
- Inclement weather
- Using Marigold Children's Garden (the Bleicken's House) as an alternate location
Following our discussion, we will walk to the forest (older children are welcome to come along, but it is best to leave toddlers and babies at the house with our professional caregivers who will be caring for the children that day) and conduct a community clean up. We may do some clearing of brush and any other safety measures (like moving logs and such). We will mostly pick up trash. Disposable gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and snacks for you and your child.
Thank you for your support and participation!
